How did you learn about EDJE? After making a list of places I would be interested in working at, I called EDJE to ask if there were any positions available and ended up speaking with Ed. I sent in my resume and eventually set up an interview for a print graphic designer. Needless to say I got a web design position instead.
What is your favorite thing about working at EDJE? Wearing jeans
What is your favorite website(s)? I find myself on YouTube most often
Tell me a little about yourself: I grew up on a farm near Algona, Iowa but I went to school in West Bend (home of the Grotto). I have one younger sister Wendy and she is a senior in high school. I got my degree in graphic communications for UNI. During college I was involved in farming corn and soybeans. I am a small town guy at heart but enjoy the things that Des Moines has to offer.
Do you have any hobbies/interests? Yes indeed. I like playing volleyball and am in the co-ed volleyball league in Des Moines. I am a DJ that is looking for a gig in Des Moines, I will be DJ-ing my best friend’s brother’s wedding in May. I’m registered storm spotter with the national weather service and enjoy storms. Designing is fun, I would say I have a contemporary feel to my designing. I love going to movies at the theater, but it has become very expensive. I try to help with farming at home when I can, and I enjoy time with family & friends.
